The Yoga class is held every Monday in the Village Hall from 3–4.15pm. It is open to all levels as the yoga taught here can be adapted to suit most individual needs and abilities.
Since starting the class in 2015, we now have a group of a dozen ‘regulars’ who have made steady progress. It is enjoyable, informative and fun.
A yoga programme comprises a variety of gentle stretching exercises, called ‘asanas’, co-ordinated with controlled breathing. Yoga helps increase flexibility and strength, calms the mind, improves concentration and is good for the circulation.

Tutor Lindy Gillam has had many years’ experience of teaching yoga in Brighton and throughout East Sussex. She qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga many years ago, then did a four-year post-grad course in yoga studies in Bristol with what was then Viniyoga Britain. Lindy has also studied at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India. She says that Yoga has enriched her life in many ways.
